David Freeman is an Engineering Manager in System Power Products for Texas Instruments Incorporated. In this position, he manages systems engineering as well as being a core member of the digital power team at TI. David has 15 years of experience in power related areas with a strong emphasis in portable power management and currently contributes a monthly opinion column in Portable Design magazine. His current focus is in the area of digital power development where he concentrates on specialized microcontroller peripherals that are optimized for power applications. Prior to moving to the semiconductor field, he spent 15 years in petroleum research developing measurement methods and equipment for fluid, electrical and mineralogical properties. David is a Texas Instruments Fellow.
