Innovative Survey Seeks Input from Power System Designers on PMBus™ Standard

February 19, 2010, Dallas, Texas The PMBus™ Interface Forum (PMBus-IF) today announced it is seeking input on the PMBus open standard with a unique online survey, aimed at power systems designers and users. By completing the survey, a responder can enter a drawing for an iPod Touch®. The survey can be reached from http://pmbus.org/survey

The short survey, which takes less than 10 minutes to complete, asks power system designers and others to provide their opinions and insights on the Power Management Bus (PMBus), an open standard power-management protocol. The answers to this survey will help guide the development of the PMBus standard.

The survey will close at midnight Eastern Time on March 21. [This was the new deadline; the original release said March 8.] The identity of responders to the survey will be kept strictly confidential.

“This survey is an innovative way for the PMBus Implementers Forum to gather invaluable data from OEMs, ODMs, power supply manufacturers, semiconductor manufacturers, software manufacturers, design consultants, and industry influencers,” say sPMBus-IF administrator Clyde Adams III. “This survey demonstrates that the PMBus-IF is committed to listen and respond to the needs of the power design community.”
